Transmission

The manual or automatic six-speed gearbox is available for the 2022 Mitsubishi Triton GLS. We opted with a manual one since it is more dependable. Its light clutch and short-throw gear lever deliver accurate and quick changes, making long trips a breeze.

The automatic transmission, on the other hand, isn’t a problem at all. It appears to have optimised top gear ratios, resulting in a quiet engine with excellent fuel economy at high speeds.

The automatic 2022 Mitsubishi Triton GLS also includes a Manual Shift mode, which provides manual-like control. With the flip of a lever, you can change speeds.

Drivetrain

Founded by Yatarō Iwasaki in 1870, the Mitsubishi Group historically descended from the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu, a unified company that existed from 1870 to 1946. The company was disbanded during the occupation of Japan following World War II. The former constituents of the company continue to share the Mitsubishi brand and trademark. Although the group companies participate in limited business cooperation, most famously through monthly “Friday Conference” executive meetings, they are formally independent and are not under common control.
