The Glen Mitsubishi ensures quality in every aspect of its vehicles. Every car has a rim, a round piece of metal that the tyre rides on and connects the tyre to the vehicle. The precise definition of a rim is the outer edge of the wheel with the hub and spokes inside. Not all car tyres have hubcaps. Hubcaps are attached to the rims to enhance the appearance. Whether or not it protects your car by keeping salt water and mud from splashing under it is debatable.
Key Differences Between Rims and Hubcaps
Rims are always metal, whether steel or aluminium. Hubcaps are made of plastic or metal. The rim is always on the wheel’s outer edge, in contact with the tyre. A hubcap is added to the wheel. They cover the centre of the hub or wheel, but hubcaps can cover the entire wheel. Rims and hubcaps function very differently. The rim supports the tyre and keeps it firmly attached to the wheel. At best, a wheel cap will protect your wheel nuts from rusting or catching them if they fall off. This practical use is why you still find hubcaps for heavy-duty trucks. Keeps dirt out and protects wheel bearings. Hubcaps can also be purely decorative.
Decorative hubcaps are popular as they are easy to install or replace as DIY enthusiasts like without involving any heavy lifting gear. Rims provide more protection to the wheel than traditional hubcaps but are also known to be more stylish. Adding rims to your car dramatically improves its appearance and greatly enhances the overall aesthetics of your car. Rims come in a variety of designs and vary in price. At CMH Mitsubishi The Glen it is evident that most of our vehicles have mags, further enhancing the quality and standards of the vehicles.
Come to CMH Mitsubishi The Glen to view how wonderful a Mitsubishi looks with its unique mag designs.

The Mitsubishi Pajero LWB is one of the most popular off-road 4×4 SUVs, and it is easy to understand why. The Pajero is a 4-generation vehicle which has stood the test of time and always will. Powered by Mitsubishi’s 3.2 litres DI-D Engine which produces 140 kiloWatts of power and 441 Newton-metres of torque. The Pajero comes equipped with Mitsubishi’s exclusive Super Select II 4WD function, making it a beast off-road vehicle and a luxurious cruiser in the city streets.

Derived from the Japanese terms “Mitsu” and “Hishi”, the two were put together for the manufacturer’s name today. “Mitsu” means three and “Hishi” means water chestnut. When you say “Hishi”, it is pronounced “Bishi”, hence “Mitsubishi”. Mitsubishi vehicles carry a lot of history, and we are proud to have the Mitsubishi Pajero LWB as a part of that history. This legend comes a long way with its first arrival in South Africa in 1983, and it is now the Limited edition with only 100 units available in the country.

Mitsubishi introduced their new SUV, The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross into their family in the year 2017. Combining sophisticated aesthetics and sporty performance with SUV practicality, the Eclipse Cross is a stylish and dynamic choice for drivers on the move.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross was tested in 2017 for the ENCAP Safety Rating and it came out tops with a 5 Star ENCAP Safety rating. The rating applies to the all the models of the Eclipse Cross range. That gives the owners peace of mind in the event of a collision, knowing that they are protected and their occupants too.

The Mitsubishi Triton is a light commercial vehicle produced by Mitsubishi. It was originally known as the Mitsubishi Fortein Japan from 1978 to 1986 when the name was discontinued as the pickup was not sold in its home market for a while. For most export markets (including South Africa) the name L200 is used though it also been known as the Rodeo, Colt, Storm, Magnum, L200 Strakar (badge used in Portugal since 1999, Strakar is a portmanteau of Strada and Dakar) and others. Cumulative sales of the first three generations exceeded 2.8 million units around the world.

The Triton was long overdue in SA and Mitsubishi sure took their time to bring the fifth-generation bakkie to our shores. In other countries, it was already available, but we had to wait almost a year before it got here. The Triton is also much more refined inside, with almost lavish-type materials which feels lovely to touch. Glossy finishes instead of mundane plastics and soft, plushy leather seats that make you want to sit deeper and drive further into the sunset on a later afternoon cruise, or safari.
We at CMH Mitsubishi the Glen (South) are proud Triton enthusiasts and Mitsubishi fans. We boast a full Sales Team, experienced Service Team and a great Parts Department too. So purchasing your Mitsubishi Triton will not only give you a bakkie and a half but you also have a full Mitsubishi Team behind you as well. Rest assured you will be well looked after at CMH Mitsubishi The Glen (South).
As we approach the festive season a lot of us will need to service our vehicles because we will driving them to our holiday destinations and back. So we at CMH Mitsubishi The Glen have compiled a holiday checklist that we are more than happy to do for you in our Service Department.

The first all-new Mitsubishi Triton in 10 years feels nearly as refined as a good passenger car, and for a ute, it is easy to drive in town. Its diesel engine is modern and easy on fuel, and all Tritons, even the single-cab work trucks, are strong on safety.
The Triton is one of those double-cab bakkies which, despite its solid heritage and reputation, is one of the greatest vehicles you could ever own.
The most fuel-efficient engine in a Triton is the engine that powers most versions, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel. It is a very modern design that performs well for its relatively small capacity and feels smooth and refined. This is the best Triton ever. It has its niche – safe, easy to live with around the burbs, reasonable value for money and overall nicely family- friendly for those who are considering changing from a sedan to a ute.
The new Triton has been an exciting addition to our floor. It already had the refined drive with excellent off-road capability and when we thought it couldn’t get any more exciting they upgraded the looks by adding an Extreme kit. The kit gives the vehicle a more aggressive stance and look by adding items all the way from off-road mags and tyres to flared out arches and body kit. It really gives Triton the additional edge on an already amazing Bakkie. It is the perfect bakkie for a customer that wants their vehicle to stand out from the rest. The enhanced look reflects Mitsubishi’s tough and rugged product.

Mitsubishi’s popular compact crossover, the Mitsubishi ASX, is getting a refreshed look for the 2017 model year. In addition to the company’s new design language, dubbed Dynamic Shield design, the Mitsubishi ASX range now includes a new 2.0 MIVEC six-speed CVT derivative coming in at under R400 000 and representing unmatched value for money.
Nic Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa, states: “We have to address the current affordability needs of our customers. Today’s economy often forces buyers to opt for lower-spec vehicles, but our new ASX 2.0 GL CVT derivative offers the comfort and efficiency of Mitsubishi’s CVT transmission as well as its impressive standard specification in a truly attractive package. When you consider Mitsubishi’s world-class safety ratings, the new ASX 2.0 GL CVT is easily the best sub R400 000 vehicle on the market.”
