The History of Mitsubishi ASX – CMH Mitsubishi Westrand
Mitsubishi are not afraid to release versatile vehicles. The History of Mitsubishi goes from high performance Lancer models, which are adored by street racing fans, to family SUV’s like the Outlander.
Enter the ASX. This is a small compact SUV which was launched at the Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland back in 2010. It was designed to follow in the footsteps of its big brother the bulkier Mitsubishi Outlander.
The Mitsubishi ASX is built on a platform of vehicles named the RVR. These vehicles were introduced in the Japan market during a surge of economic growth. 2 generations of RVR vehicles preceded the ASX. The ASX was designed as an eco-friendly vehicle. It utilizes the same auto stop and go technology that you find in most vehicles today. The purpose of this technology is to cut on carbon emissions released by vehicles while they are idling.
The ASX has since gotten a number of facelifts since its launch. It’s first facelift which was revealed in Europe in 2013 introduced a number of features to the vehicle. The features this vehicle came with were a panoramic glass roof, auto rain, auto light sensors and GPS navigation with Bluetooth/iPod connectivity.
The ASX is currently retailing from R419 995 and you can test drive one at CMH Mitsubishi Westrand. Contact us to find out more about his stellar vehicle.
