The first all-new Mitsubishi Triton in 10 years feels nearly as refined as a good passenger car, and for a ute, it is easy to drive in town. Its diesel engine is modern and easy on fuel, and all Tritons, even the single-cab work trucks, are strong on safety.
The Triton is one of those double-cab bakkies which, despite its solid heritage and reputation, is one of the greatest vehicles you could ever own.
The most fuel-efficient engine in a Triton is the engine that powers most versions, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel. It is a very modern design that performs well for its relatively small capacity and feels smooth and refined. This is the best Triton ever. It has its niche – safe, easy to live with around the burbs, reasonable value for money and overall nicely family- friendly for those who are considering changing from a sedan to a ute.
The new Triton has been an exciting addition to our floor. It already had the refined drive with excellent off-road capability and when we thought it couldn’t get any more exciting they upgraded the looks by adding an Extreme kit. The kit gives the vehicle a more aggressive stance and look by adding items all the way from off-road mags and tyres to flared out arches and body kit. It really gives Triton the additional edge on an already amazing Bakkie. It is the perfect bakkie for a customer that wants their vehicle to stand out from the rest. The enhanced look reflects Mitsubishi’s tough and rugged product.
