If adventure is your game, the Mitsubishi Pajero is for you. Mitsubishi vehicles are made for luxury adventures, outdoor expeditions and conquering urban terrain with ultimate comfort and reliability.
The original Pajero offers reliability forged in the crucible of gruelling competition and the harshest conditions imaginable. It retains the all-round SUV specifications of its predecessor, as seen in its approach angle, ground clearance and other all-terrain performance parameters.
Mitsubishi is known to use the technological and engineering experience gained on the Dakar in all their production vehicles. We are also proud to note that in the 29-year history of this rally, no other manufacturer can match Mitsubishi’s winning record – the 2007 victory makes it seven consecutive wins and 12 wins in total for Mitsubishi.
The Mitsubishi Pajero is powered by a 3.2L DI-DC boasting increased performance with an output of 140kW of power and 441Nm of torque. Mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox with enhanced gear ratios to better suit the engine refinements on the diesel model.
The Pajero is, and has always been, a 4×4 specifically designed to go anywhere, no matter the terrain. The four-wheel-drive (4WD) system comprises of the sophisticated Super Select 4WD-II transfer case with both ASTC (Active Stability Traction Control) and the rear differential lock (available on GLX LWB only) — developed on the bedrock of MMC’s all-wheel-control (AWC) concept and delivering significant improvements in both off-road and on-highway performance.
Safety equipment remains of high standards, all models featuring ABS with EBD and BAS, ASTC (Active Stability and Traction Control), six airbags, an immobiliser and alarm, and remote central locking. Mitsubishi’s RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) chassis and body construction is also employed, ensuring a rigid chassis and impact-absorbing body.
It’s no wonder it’s a 12 times Dakar Rally winner. Climb in and you’ll know you’ve arrived.
